The most important information about Castor in one video

Here is why you need this oil and how to use it to get the best results!

One powerful ingredient

Black Castor Oil is 100% pure, cold-presed, single-ingredient oil. The roasted castor beans (or seeds) are pressed without adding temperature or water. Depending on the beans crop and where beans come from, the cold-pressed Castor Oil can vary in color. The 'cool beans' of castor make oil that is anywhere from light beige to dark purple. All variations are absolutely natural.

This oil also has signficantly more sediment than most other oils, just because it is super viscous and it takes a while to settle.

Sourcing & Production

Katari Black Castor Oil is cold-pressed from dried (roasted) beans of the castor plant that grows in the Delta of the Nile in Egypt. The most fertile soil, organic farming that has not changed in thousands of years and cold-pressing method is what keeps this oil so strong in its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial defense for skin (acne) and hair (dryness).

The cold-pressing technique ensures that temperature does not destroy minerals and affect efficiency of the oil. Watch this video of how all our cold-pressed oils are crafted by our Egyptian artisans.

USES & BENEFITS

Castor Oil is frequently overlooked in skincare and yet it is a perfect staple for both hair and skin.

Benefits of Castor Oil

Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties of Black Castor Oil help protect skin from acne and eczema

Treating hair (scalp) with Black Castor Oil will help prevent dryness, flakiness and tightness (especially after braiding)

Highly moisturizing Black Castor Oil is great after skincare treatments and as a powerful pore cleaser

Castor Oil helps rehab bold, overplucked brows and adds thickness and growth to brows

Black Castor Oil is protective and nourishing for hair follicles, allowing them to stay strong and this is what promotes hair growth.

Uses of Castor Oil

Here is how Nicole from Appoise Spa uses Katari Black Castor Oil. "Castor Oil is something that is sometimes overlooked for skincare treatment, but when someone is getting a chemical peel or an aggressive skincare treatment, I always recommend using a thick and skin friendly oil to help skin repair itself. Outside of this, we always recommend to use Castor Oil on any burns or cuts. We also encourage our clients who want more natural products for their eyebrow thickness to use Castor Oil.

Castor and Henna Oils are more natural for the skin because of the color that they hold naturally. Our skin tones are more golden in color, including darker skinned persons, therefore, you want to steer clear of oils that are not golden in color. The skin will not asborb oils that are not golden-based.

STORAGE & WARNINGS

Storage

Please store away from direct sun.

Shelf life

Typical shelf life of a natural oil is 2 years from production. All oils you receive from us are cold-pressed within about 1-2 months of you receiving them. Please advice your customers to use oils within 3-6 months if possible to take advantage of the freshest sources of vitamins and micro-elements in oils while they are at their peak.

Warning

Castor Oil can cause allergies in some people. Please advice your customers to always test all natural products (skin patch test) before use to rule out personal insensitivities to ingredients, scents, etc.

If there is any redness or reaction, discontinue use. Please try Henna Oil as an alternative or Hoba (jojoba) oil, which is a safe hypoallergenic option for all.

Do not ingest

Keep away from children; this oil looks like a delicious syrup and it definitely should not be eaten by anyone, especially little ones

If you get some oil in your eyes, rinse eyes with plenty of warm water to prevent irritation, if it occurs

Love love love!

I love how pure and earthy it smells. Although it’s thick it goes on smooth and moisturizes very well. I’m in love!

Castor Reviews

Brow Serum

We have seen great results for our clients trying to grow their brows back in using this oil-bonus, the thicker consistency has really helped my super dry skin in this winter season.

Castor Oil

remember my grandmother used to put caster oil on my eyelashes when I was a little girl. I thought it was something she invented because I never heard of it again until I found Katari, and now I discovered that it also helps with dark circles and puffy eyes since I started using again. Thanks Katari!

Love, per usual

Honestly, if you aren't using Katari products, you really need to reevaluate your life choices. These products will change your life.

Products that complement Castor

If your love Black Castor Oil, you might love Henna Oil just as much.  It is also a perfect hair follicle nourishing and moisturizing oil perfect to rehab hair, brows and lashes. Hoba (jojoba) Oil is a great Vitamin E rich alternative as well, and for some skin or hair treatments you can mix Castor Oil with Hoba oil to reduce thickness. For brow and lash application, we suggest using a sustainably carved olive wood applicator.
