Pomegranate Seed Oil is a 100% pure, cold-presed, single-ingredient oil. The dried seeds of pomegranate fruit are used in making of this oil. All fruit is different with color ranging from orangish to dark red / purple, the color and fragrance of the oil might vary slightly from very light pink to bright pink. All variations in color are absolutely natural.

The oil tends to fade to clear color when exposed to light (gets bleached more easily than other oils).

Sourcing & Production

Katari Pomegranate Seed Oil is cold-pressed from dried pomegranate seeds extracted from delicious pomegranates that grow on small organic farms in the Delta of the Nile in Egypt. The most fertile soil, organic farming that has not changed in thousands of years and cold-pressing method is what keeps this oil the most potent and most effective natural form of skin defending, antioxidant Vitamin C.

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION

Pomegranate Seed Oil contains palmitic acid (5.30±0.38%), stearic acid (2.78±0.51%), oleic acid (12.34±2.88%), linoleic acid (13.45±2.01%) and punicic acid (64.65±4.51%). Pomegranate Seed Oil has a high concentration of punicic acid or omega-5. This type of fatty acid is effective in preventing the formation of acidic cancer cells. Punicic acid also has antioxidant, antitumor, anti-atherosclerotic and serum lipid-lowering properties.

All oils, including Granate, are best when applied on slightly wet skin. Best companion for Granate is Katari geranium hydrating and skin soothing hydrosol - Geran.

For hair Pomegranate Seed Oil helps fight dandruff when massaged into clean, slightly wet scalp and hair roots. It is a wonderful styling oil - just a few drops smoothed throughout the hair lengths for delicious scent and UV protection and to get those fly-aways under control.

Please store away from direct sun.

Shelf life

Typical shelf life of a natural oil is 2 years from production. All oils you receive from us are cold-pressed within about 1-2 months of you receiving them. Please advice your customers to use oils within 3-6 months if possible to take advantage of the freshest sources of vitamins and micro-elements in oils while they are at their peak.

Warning

Pomegranate Seed Oil can be used for all skin types and there are no reported issues with potential reactions but it might be adviced not to use for sensitive skin and excessive use during preganancy (might want to consult physician). Please advice your customers to always test all natural products (skin patch test) before use to rule out personal insensitivities to ingredients, scents, etc.

Nothing like this, really!

I use this remarkable oil as a serum; it's very moisturizing, but not heavy and I use it on it's own or as part of my skin product layering routine.All those comments about how amazing this smells? Absolutely true.
